Why Talk Of GBV

 GBV it's a violation of human rights and a life threatening health and protection issue.

It is estimated that one in three women experience sexual or physical violence in their lifetime.

There are several types of GBV 

1) Sexual violence -any act attempt to obtain a sexual act, unwanted sexual comments or advances or acts to traffic or otherwise directed against a person's sexuality .

2) psychological violence-threatening conduct which lacks physical violence or verbal elements for example actions that refer to former acts of violence or purposeful ignorance and neglect of another person

3)Socio economic violence-Taking away the earnings of the victim not allowing them to have a separate income making the victim unfit for work through targeted physical abuse.

4)Domestic violence-committed by someone in the victims domestic circle.it includes partners and ex-partners immediate family members,other relatives and family friends.

Gender based violence is an issue faced by people all over the world .Women are disproportionately harmed by gender based violence that's why hundreds of organizations focus on ending violence against women.According to the united nations population fund 1 in 3 women have experience physical or sexualized violence in their lifetime.
